Just had to write and say what a wonderful evening the reunion turned out to be.  The committee outdid themselves.  It was so very nice to visit with friends we haven't seen in so long.  Steve and I have been to all of the reunions and have enjoyed them all so very much.  I'm sure the committee will come up with something wonderful for the 50th.  A two day event would be great, a casual social on Fri. and a more formal reunion on Sat.  My one suggestion would be to have just some nice back ground music, as most are interested in conversations with old friends and don't feel the need to dance.  I certainly hope those who did not attend will think seriously of coming to the 50th.  It is so nice to reconnect.

How nice to see the pictures and read the comments of some of those who attended the reunion. Please be sure to keep me on your e-mail list. Maybe we will be able to attend the next function. Karen Hilditch Greenlee

Don, thanks for the update. OMG I have to attend one of these before I cant anymore. I will have to save up for a suit cause I am either in work stuff or wetsuits. Always in the water with dolphins or whales. Some of the pictures don't come thru good but our old class pictures do. Some people I can still remember being around them and what we were doing. Others are a blank. I cant even pick myself out in any of the pictures. Got to come to the next reunion to see what I look like. Good to see the ones still around.

Donnie W, alias: Ace Pumpkin Carver,

Hello once again.  Oh ya!  I had a wonderful time at the Reunion . . . just not enough time to spend with each and all.

Reunion Group Picture:  Texler Photographic? . . . like at the 40th Reunion?

     Suggestions:

1) Next time: A 45th Reunion . . . half way to the 50th?

2) A two-day involvement; one announced optional Friday afternoon/ evening and the full Saturday evening, like we enjoyed?  Aurora Inn . . . good place for next time, budget permitting.

3) Short program-time dedicated to somethingʼs like:

     a) Over all News announcement(s) affecting said Class Mates; singularly and/or collectively.

     b) A short Comedy Time.

     c) Short time for anyone who would like to address the whole group.

     I agree whole-heartedly, the Reunion Committee did a wonderful bang-up job . . . first-in-line; yʼall got my Vote!

Thanking one-and-all, Ralph G, out.

Don,

I apologize to the Reunion Committee for not writing sooner.  We had a great time and it was good to meet and talk with people I really never knew before and meeting up with my friends.  Everything went very well and we enjoyed the buffet.  Thank you for a great time.  I believe also, that having something from this point annually or every two years would be wonderful.  We are getting older and thinking about the wonderful individuals that have already left this earth brings to mind that life is all too short.

Sincerely,
Barbara Forsythe

Don. I too would like to thank the group that planned and set up the reunion. Congratulations on a job well done. I would also like to offer my services to those who will be doing the 50 year reunion. Let me know if you can use an extra hand. I enjoyed the reunion and to me it is amazing how old friends can not see each other in over 5 or 10 or 15 years and then get together and enjoy each others company as if they  had just seen each other yesterday. That speaks volumes for the friendships we developed 45 years ago.

Hope to see you all again in about 5 years or less.

October 21-2007 Dear Classmates:

On October 6th, 2007 we held our 45th class reunion. For those of you who could not attend for whatever reasons we are sorry we missed you. The reunion, in my opinion went well; of course with my opinion and $3.00 you can get a gallon of gas. Alright, alright, I’ll stick to the letter writing. Everyone I saw there seemed to be having a good time.

For those of you who were at the reunion I would like to hear from you with your comments and observations on the good, bad, and ugly aspects of your reunion experience. The reunion committee did a great job setting up the entire affair we will all have to agree on that, however looking back there is always something that you think could have been done better or differently.  While it’s still fresh in our mind let’s start working on some fresh new ideas for our 50th or even a 47 ½  or 46th. Let’s maybe do a weekend or a pot luck picnic day or whatever you might think of. I will post all your ideas on my website and take comments form everyone on your ideas.

Anyone who has taken pictures at the reunion can send me copies or e-mail them to me and I will post them on my web site for all to see. ( Please only send the “G” rated ones)

You did a wonderful job, with everything.. on behalf of everyone I have to thank you for that. The reunion went so well, all the effort put in by everyone really paid off. The positive response was overwhelming. Most of all the comments were that this was one of the best reunions ever!!  We all had input in that and I am so glad we all work so well together bringing forth each others talents.. We had a lot of laughs- and people that did not want to go home.. that was a good thing.. I am sorry to hear you had to leave early- Joanne Alesci Presby sent me copies of her pictures for the album.. they are nice. I will get that list of those who attended to you.. by the way I know everyone that worked on the reunion would like to get together-- will let you know when, and where.. Take care and thanks again for you hard work..  Sincerely  Janice

Naturally, you're the first person I thought of when I saw this!

Louise

Being a Christian is like being a pumpkin.   God lifts you up, takes you in,  and washes all the dirt off of you.   He opens you up, touches you deep inside and scoops out all the yucky stuff-- including the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc.   Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside you to shine for all the world to see.   This was passed on to me from another pumpkin.   Now, it is your turn to pass it to a pumpkin.   I liked this enough to send it to all the pumpkins in my patch.   Happy Fall!

Hi, It sounds as if you will all have a wonderful time together Saturday evening. I have many fond memories of our times together in Maple Heights and wish I could be there with you. Please take lots of pictures and share them with everyone. I'd love to hear from you. Have a great time. Fondly, Kathy Simon Schlosser

Thank you for the message on the reunion.  I just came back from Alaska on a 5 week fishing trip.  Please keep me posted on future reunions.  Jon Hurchanik
Hi
I can't make it to this reunion.  My 7-year-old granddaughter died of cancer and my son and his wife are needing our help right now with their other daughter.  It's been a long 2 year battle and we fought with all we had but it just wasn't to be.  Give my best wishes to all and tell them I'll see them at the next one.

Don,

Can you tell me, what is the attire for the reunion.  I have never made one yet, and want to know what to dress for, I guess.

Out here in Arizona, only bodies in caskets wear suits, and the only folks wearing white shirts and ties are Mormon missionaries.  So you can see how confusing this is for me.

Is there a sit down dinner, a dance, just social mingling?  Like I said, I have no idea.  I’ll leave the cowboy boots home, and the straw hat.

Thanks.

Gary Capek, Laveen, AZ

Gary, I’ve seen everything from blue genes, work close, MHHS letter sweaters to $400 suits. Most try to dress nice though. Suit & Tie type thing. See you there.

Thanks Don.  I guess I’ll just let my wife dress me, less problems that way.  J

Got an email from Ralph Gergel out of the blue.  Dragged out the ’62 yearbook for memory bank recharging.  Ought to be a hoot.

Thanks again. Gary
