Hi Don, it is with great sadness that I forward this information onto you and the class..We have lost yet another wonderful loving classmate.. Phil Faia passed away early this morning..He has been struggling with cancer for sometime now..He was blessed with a loving and beautiful wife Joyce..Certainly our sympathy goes out to Joyce,their daughters, family and friends. He will sure be missed by many..Phil and Joyce were able to attend the reunion this year, it was so nice to see them..Please watch the papers for funeral announcements, I don't  have any information at this time.. Most Sincerly   Janice (Short) Sandy I did not realize that Phil had a son as well... sorry I did not mean to omit him form the notation.. The funeral was Monday March 16, 2008... well attended as you can imagine, he was certainly loved by many.. 
 

Per our conversation, below is the obituary information that appeared in the newspaper on 10/22/2007 for Dale.
 
Dale A. Kreke, age 63, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, at Oakridge Tenn. Methodist Medical Center in Oakridge.  He was born Jan. 29, 1944, in Middlefield, lived in Mentor for 28 yrs. before moving to Knoxville, Oct. 8, 2007.
 
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.  He received his bachelor of business admin. degree from Baldwin Wallace Collage in Berea.  Dale was a project manager for ABB, formerly Bailey Controls in Wickliffe, for 34 yrs before his retirement in 2005.
 
Survivors are his wife of 39 yrs, Susan, daughters, Amy (Allen) Handy of Portland, Maine and Cara Kreke of Chicago, IL and granddaughter, Abigail Handy.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Louise Kreke and sister, Emily Neate.
 
He died suddenly of a massive heart attack.

Joseph E. Mihalich Jr.    
JOSEPH E. MIHALICH JR., 62, of Hudson, OH., passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 9, 2007 in Gainesville, FL. Born in Cleveland, OH., Joe attended Kent State University. He was an entrepreneur, having been involved in real estate, home building, restaurant/tavern ownership, and most recently, in the vending business. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph E. Sr. and Carrie A. Mihalich. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Leigh (Carter) Mihalich; children: Michael (Yvonne) Mihalich, Jeffrey (Michele) Mihalich, Jennifer (Richard) Rohr; and stepson, Seth (Allison) Carter; grandchildren: Sarah, Julia, Patrick, Nicholas, Cole, Dee,Ryan, Aaron, Jeline', Seth II and Olivia Jolie; with a host of friends throughout the country. Joe will always be remembered for his zest for life, his love of entertaining, his quick smile and his tremendous generosity as witnessed by so many. Family will receive friends for a memorial gathering at JOHNSON-ROMITO, A GOLDEN RULE FUNERAL HOME, 19 E. MAIN ST.
